"Riposophast Basic" allows you to create uniform liposomes of the desired size by selecting the appropriate polycarbonate membrane with various pore sizes and passing a lipid solution through it. The membrane is fixed between a resin inside a metal housing, and the lipid solution in a syringe is sent to the empty syringe on the opposite side. Glycogen lipid extrusion method

Liposomes have grown to become an important biomedical carrier system. One of the most significant factors affecting the performance of liposomes is particle size. Methods to reduce the size of liposomes include high-pressure homogenization, extrusion, and ultrasonic irradiation. Among these, extrusion is a relatively mild and rapid method. The Genizer jacketed liposome extruder uses a nitrogen gas cylinder to extrude a liposome suspension of drugs, proteins, or genes through a track-etched membrane with a specified pore size. Typically, about 5 to 10 passes are sufficient to create samples of a consistent liposome size. The Genizer jacketed liposome extruder is designed to minimize dead volume and produce uniform unilamellar liposomes or lipopolyplexes.
